According to latest Bloomberg report AT&T is going to sell its tower portfolio to Crown Castel. This information is from an unidentified source and this may be just a rumor.
Currently AT&T is generating revenue of $326 million from its tower lease agreements. AT&T has nearly 10,000 towers in its control. If this deal goes through this will definitely bring a big change to tower leasing business. Both AT&T and Crown Castel declined to comment on the report, according to Bloomberg.
Apart from AT&T, US Cellular also considering part of selling its towers in market it has divested, but not in core markets. Last fall Crown Castel bought rights of 7,200 T-Mobile US towers for $2.4 billion.
